There’s a gathering in San Francisco this weekend for teen Evangelicals called BattleCry. (Chron story here.) It seems intended to energize teen Christian culture warriors. Planners predict over 20,000 attendees for rock concerts, rallys and other events.
There are Christian critics of BattleCry’s hostility. The Chron quotes one of them.

"You can tell people about God in more of a loving way than tell them there's no hope for them or that God hates them," said P.J. Cooper, 14, who skateboards, listens to punk rock and attends Regeneration, an evangelical church in Oakland, where he lives. "Last year with BattleCry, it seemed like a war. ... Christians are supposed to be loving and understanding and not so extreme and making things into wars."Jesuit Watch salutes young Mr. Cooper on his excellent understanding of Christ’s message. [There’s a nice picture of P.J. included with the Chronicle story.]
