The Jesuit values of excellence and leadership are important in worldly as well as spiritual endeavors. For instance, the effort put into a still life painting can be totally AMDG.
Joseph (Deacon Joe) Lundowski, assigned by the Jesuits to tend to the spiritual needs of a remote Alaskan village, was not a still life painter in his spare time, he was, allegedly, a child molester.
Now grown, they said that over a seven-year period, "Deacon Joe" molested nearly every boy in St. Michael and the neighboring settlement of Stebbins.
According to this LA Times story, Lundowski wasn’t a mediocre molester, he was excellent at it. It wasn’t just a boy here and a boy there, he pretty much got them all.
Way to go, Joe!
Way to go, Joe!
